Square Fills Up with Neighbors and Joy (Slide Show)

Hundreds of Villagers Gather to Welcome Santa and the Holiday Tree

With the looming rains held at bay, hundreds of young and young-at-heart West Villagers were not bothered and celebrated the holiday season on a beautiful evening Friday, November 30. Friends of the Square enjoyed hot chocolate from Le Pain Quotidien and Krispy Kreme doughnuts courtesy of Adcroft family from Scranton, PA.  We watched the 4,600 lights glow on the thirty foot tree while Santa Claus thrilling hundreds of excited children. All while being serenaded by our wonderful caroler, Mary Kathryn Monday. Yet, it was the spirit of community that made the night so warm and bright!
